SUMMARY:September 11 Non-Profit Luncheon and Expo
DESCRIPTION:We will highlight the non profits of Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce on September 11 at Bloomingdale Golf Club.  Join us to learn about the work of our non-profit organizations while you network with fellow Chamber members.  Each non profit will have a mini expo booth.\n\n\n\nSpeaker:  Dave McGowan\,CRFE - DuPage Community Foundation\n\nhas been the chief staff officer of The DuPage Community Foundation in Wheaton for more than 16 years.  He started as its Executive Director and was named president in 2003.\n\nDave became a certified fundraising executive in 1987.  He has nearly 33 years of fundraising\, grant making and not-for-profit management experience in the Chicago metropolitan area. \n\nIn his current role\, Dave helps area donors and their advisors accomplish their philanthropic objectives.  He focuses on outright and deferred gifts of appreciated property from individuals and on demonstrating the lasting contributions of endowed funds. \n\nDave graduated cum laude in marketing and journalism from Northern Illinois University and has a master of science in Management and Development of Human Resources from National-Louis University. \n\nHe grew up in Downers Grove and has lived in Wheaton\, Glendale Heights\, Bloomingdale\, Winfield and now lives in Lisle with his wife\, Mary.  They have three children either in college or living in the area.  He is the third generation of his family to live in DuPage County. \n\nDave is the recipient of the 2009 West Suburban Philanthropic Network Distinguished Service Award. \n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Cancellation Policy \n\nPre-registration for our events is required so that the hosting venue can prepare an adequate number of meals.  If you need to cancel your registration\, you must do so 24 hours in advance of the event. If you are unable to attend the event\, but have not notified us at least 24 hours prior to the event\, you will be responsible for the cost of the event.
