College of DuPage - 911 Our Community Remembers

                                       

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, a day that profoundly impacted our nation and continues to hold deep meaning for many in our community.

The College of DuPage community is invited to come together for 9/11: Our Community Remembers, a ceremony of remembrance, reflection and gratitude honoring the lives lost and the courage of those who responded.

Friday, Sept. 11
7:30 to 8:15 a.m.
SSG Miller Homeland Security Education Center (HEC)
Honorable William J. Bauer Mock Courtroom

The ceremony will feature remarks from:

• Muddassir Siddiqi, President, College of DuPage
• John Mondelli, Manager, Homeland Security Training Center
• Brian Baudek, Manager, EMS/Fire Science Program
• Michael Zegadlo, Manager, Suburban Law Enforcement Academy

The program will include reflections on the events of Sept. 11 and a moment of silence honoring the victims, survivors, first responders and military personnel whose lives were forever impacted.

For those unable to attend in person, the ceremony also will be livestreamed on the College of DuPage Facebook page.

Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8, members of the COD community are invited to visit the thought wall in the HEC lobby and share words of remembrance, inspiration, meaningful quotes, memories or personal thoughts.
