SUMMARY:Parade of Gingerbread Houses
DESCRIPTION:Description:\n\nYou decorate a gingerbread house and display in your business.  The general public will be able to vote for the best decorated house by placing money in a voting box.  The money raised through voting will go to St. Isidore PADS to help the homeless. The business who raises the most amount will help present the check to St. Isidore PADS.  The Chamber will help market the businesses to the general public to help increase traffic. The public will receive a map to be stamped at each business.  Once completed\, the map can be submitted to be entered into a random draw raffle to win $200.\n\n\n\nDetails:\n\n	Businesses must commit by November 15th so maps can be printed in time!\n	Houses be displayed for voting from November 27th   December 20th\n	Residents will pick up a Map at each participating business or may download from Chamber website. They receive a stamp at each business   fill the map and hand it in to be entered into a raffle.\n	Businesses must return their voting box to the Chamber office by December 21st . The winning business will help present a check to PADS on December 23rd. \n	$30 fee per business to participate to help cover the expenses\n	The Chamber will provide the voting boxes\, the business is responsible for keeping the boxes safe from theft and returning the box\n	House(s) may be made by staff or contracted out to a professional\n	The house does not have to be a house\, it can be a store\, barn\, church\, be creative.\n	House(s) may be multiple smaller houses or one house\, no larger than 24" x 24"\n	All components of the house(s)\, except the base\, must be made entirely of edible material. No wood\, cardboard\, wire or other non-edible material may be used on the construction or decorating of the house.  Only exceptions are candies which contain non-edible material such as a lollipop\; however you cannot just use the stick of the lollipop and not the candy.\n	Marketing across platforms: Social Media\, Daily Herald\, Village Enewsletter\, Eblasts\, Poster\, & Flyers.\n	Businesses may offer those following the Parade of Gingerbread Houses a special promotion for stopping by their business. At registration choose Special Promotion to highlight your business on the map.\n	COVID-19 Accommodations if your business is closed to the public\n	\n		Take pictures of your gingerbread house and post on-line\, Facebook\, your website\, or put the gingerbread house in the window.\n		People can vote by placing money in an envelope and dropping it into your mail slot\, or at the Chamber with your business name on the envelope.
