The Illinois Department of Labor’s On-Site Safety & Health Consultation Program offers free services to small and medium-sized businesses, including franchises. The program identifies potential safety and health issues and helps develop strategies to control hazards based on OSHA and NIOSH guidelines. Services include safety audits, industrial hygiene surveys and assistance with OSHA-required programs.This voluntary and confidential program operates independently from State and Federal OSHA enforcement, ensuring an employer-driven experience. Consultants guide businesses through each step, while encouraging employee participation. The program helps reduce injury rates, lower worker compensation costs, and enhance productivity across all industries.
