The Best of Bloomingdale is a signature event designed to recognize outstanding members of the business community.                                                                                                                             

This event reaches beyond the chamber and into the community, requesting nominations and incorporating a voting component to augment judging in the selection process. The Best of Bloomingdale culminates with an award dinner to recognize the winners. This premier event is held the last Thursday of September with over 250 in attendance. 

Nominees who meet the initial qualifications are sorted into categories. The  selection process will incorporate the results of two concurrent activities: an internal evaluation by a Chamber awards committee and a popular vote. Online voting runs over a 10 day period in early September. Only one vote per a person per a day. Nominees are given promotional material to help market themselves. Over 16,300 community members have voted for the best businesses in over 25 categories.  Winners are presented with a blown glass award to display in their business, along with a outdoor sign, poster and Best of Bloomingdale Winner logo to use in their marketing.
